Reverse Washing

I'm a little behind the trend here but I've only just discovered reverse washing for your hair. However, after trying this I can now fully recommend this to anyone. Whatever hair type you may have, I urge you to try this at least once. Reverse washing is really easy to explain. Instead of shampooing first, you condition first. I really didn't think this was going to work as after I condition my hair it feels all smooth and clean and with this way round the shampoo just doesn't leave my hair feeling the same.

My hair can be thick at times but is more on the average side and is usually pretty straight with a bit of wave in it. I had dyed my hair many-a-times and can tend to go dry at the ends and oily at the roots and scalp. So, that's a little bit about my hair. The first time I tried this I didn't know really how it was going to turn out. I didn't really know what to use or to be honest how to do it. I have been using Garnier Ultimate Blends - The Sleek Restorer for my conditioner and Vo5's - Revive Me Daily for the shampoo. However, this is almost certainly going to be different for different people and hair types.

So, how do you actually do it?! Just follow these simple steps below and your'll get there in no time! Please bear in mind that it may not work first time. You may need to experiment with a few different shampoos and conditioners to see what works best for you and your locks!

1. Make sure your hair is fully wetted. If its not it the conditioner will not completely distribute fully and we need it to do this.

2. Leave the conditioner in for the stated amount of time. I believe this normally around 2 mins however, some conditioners may vary.

3. Don't rinse out the conditioner! This is the most important step! Use the shampoo with the conditioner to remove the conditioner. Don't use a regular amount of shampoo though, use just about a half less as you don't want to strip all of the conditioner out of your hair. After that you are free to rinse as much as you please!

I found this worked amazingly for me but obviously it is going to be different for different people but I urge to at least try it once. Even when I let my hair dry naturally (which is about 99% of the time) and when I blow dry my hair the results are still the same. It gives a good shine to my hair and generally makes it look so much healthier. Just like I've just had a new hair cut actually... I was so impressed! Please comment below if you've tried it or going to try it as I would love to know how you got on!
